Patent Wars

Posted by Mark on 12/23/2011 to Random Thoughts
Its like watching a long drawn out game of chess; I am talking about the seemingly never ending patent wars between wellApple and just about everybody else in the cell phone world!! Now, I have no problem with protecting intellectual properties but when patents seem to cross over and interpreting them is dodgy at best we need to overhaul the process. How can one company patent a gesture for unlocking a touch screen and another do the same only in a different sequence? The question I ask: Is it time for them to stop the childish bully tactics with each other and learn to cooperate to bring new innovations to the field or should they all vehemently protect what is perceived to be theirs?

Do these types of lawsuits make you pick between what manufacturer you tend to go with when you purchase a new cellular device?

What are your thoughts?
